Heritage
1857 onwards
Fougett, part of Fougstedts, was founded in 1857 in Sweden. The opening of the first boutique and factory - a coat atelier and fur workshop followed. Collections of outerwear and ready-to-wear made from beautiful materials are met with huge success. Fougstedts emerges as a luxury brand renowned for its quality, elegance, muted colour palette and artisanal excellence. Easy elegance is born. Timeless proportions, distinct silhouettes and supremely feminine designs express the essence of quiet elegance. The coats and jackets are crafted from the finest most sustainable luxury fabrics: pure cashmere, wool, camel, and mohair. The concept of longevity is embedded into the brand, its ability to last is the symbol of its value.

Failing to keep up with the increasing consumer demand for fast-fashion, Fougstedts closed its doors in 1968. Today, Fougett is re-founded as a continuation of a family legacy. With a strong Scandinavian heritage, the qualities that once defined the brand remain unchanged. A meeting of the old with the new.
